Donations

Support the Cause – Donations to BEST

The Black Ex-Students of Texas is a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to BEST are tax deductible.

BEST General Fund Donations

The BEST General Fund serves as a means of supporting the organizations activities
in all areas. This includes recruitment and retention programs, alumni focused
programs, operating costs and the scholarship program. Even though there is a
fund specifically for scholarships, a portion of the general fund is also directed
to the scholarship program due to the importance of assisting students with attending
college.

BEST Scholarship Fund Donations

The BEST Scholarship Fund is used to support students financially in pursuit of a college degree. 100% of the BEST Scholarship Fund supports the BEST Scholarship Program. The BEST Scholarship Program has multiple outlets to directly assist students.

  • BEST Scholarship Awards (awarded annually) – View Past Recipients
  • Endowment Efforts (planning for scholarships in the future)
  • Support other Annual Scholarship Programs (such as the “From Us, For Us Scholarship”)
