The Black Ex-Students of Texas is a tax exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to BEST are tax deductible.
BEST General Fund Donations |
The BEST General Fund serves as a means of supporting the organizations activities
in all areas. This includes recruitment and retention programs, alumni focused
programs, operating costs and the scholarship program. Even though there is a
fund specifically for scholarships, a portion of the general fund is also directed
to the scholarship program due to the importance of assisting students with attending
college.
BEST Scholarship Fund Donations |
The BEST Scholarship Fund is used to support students financially in pursuit of a college degree. 100% of the BEST Scholarship Fund supports the BEST Scholarship Program. The BEST Scholarship Program has multiple outlets to directly assist students.

- Endowment Efforts (planning for scholarships in the future)
- Support other Annual Scholarship Programs (such as the “From Us, For Us Scholarship”)
TAX DEDUCTIBILITY
The Black Ex-Students of Texas is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization.
All contributions are tax deductible and corporate matching gifts may be applied.
COMPANY CONTRIBUTION MATCHING
The Black Ex-Students of Texas accepts matching funds from corporations.
Contact your Human Resources Department for information regarding their matching
gift program.

- Fill it out completely.
- Return it accordingly to your employer’s guidelines.
