UT Black Alumni Homecoming Weekend

Make plans to attend the 11th Annual Homecoming Weekend September 5-8, 2019 as we celebrate another year of black excellence and our legacy at the University.

 

 

The weekend is hosted by the Austin Chapter of the Black Ex-Students of Texas, the Texas Exes Black Alumni Network and the Precursors. Register now!

BEST Austin is looking for team captains for the Battle of the Decades. The team with the largest percentage of participants will be honored at the Legacy Dinner. The committee will recognize the 2nd and 3rd place runner ups.

Friday, September 6th

LEGACY CELEBRATION

Dinner, Silent Auction, Cash Bar, Black Alumni Network Award, Music and more!

A Welcome Reception begins at 6:30 pm and Dinner at 7:30 pm.
6:30 pm – 9:00 pm at the The Alumni Center (2110 San Jacinto Blvd. Austin, TX 78712)

 

 

SOUL NIGHT (the After Party)

Join us for Soul Night and party like the Texas Union Soul Night days!

Starting at 10:30 pm.

 

 

 

Saturday, September 7th

HOMECOMING TAILGATE & GAME VIEWING

Sponsored by the Office of the President and co-sponsored by Eta Theta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

NEW LOCATION – At the Tower. We have moved locations to the heart of campus to have more space for the best tailgate on the 40 Acres. Right on the south side of the Main Building.

Starts at 3pm and continues until the game ends! Join us at our new location for an even bigger celebration! Food, Music and Prizes as we gather before the Longhorns take the field against the LSU Tigers. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 pm.

 

 

THE AFTER PARTY

The game will be over, but the weekend is not!

Join the Homecoming Weekend Celebration at Club Eleanor.

Event tickets will not be mailed. Packages can be picked up beginning at the Legacy Celebration on Friday.

BEST and Steering Committee events benefit the BEST Scholarship Program and Black Alumni Endowment. If you cannot attend the weekend, we invite you to donate to the Scholarship Program.
